Budos

The Budos Band, whew.. they make sounds so tough they might blow up the sound board.  They've been making records that pack a heavy punch for awhile now, and aside from being a great band, the secret to that punch I think, is the recording methods.  You can find them on the Daptone label

Daptone has been making solid records for over ten years, and I tell ya.. something special happens when you get a band like this in the studio, run them through classic mics and preamps, an old trident desk, various tube compressors and outboard gear, straight to tape.. then press those sounds to wax.  If you're not up on daptone, look through their site and load up on records.  You can always find it on itunes too, but there's nothing like waiting for that big box to come in the mail, and putting a needle to it.
