Sever's 'death of street art' depicting Twist, Gemeos, Shepard Fairey, Bansky, Futura 2000, and Kaws. Pretty bold statement, I can't speak for the validity of all these artists, but when I was coming up Futura was one of the originators to a lot of people, pretty much up there with Seen and Dondi.
Now I'm not saying what's right or wrong.. especially when it comes to people creating, put what you want in.. Really, I kind of like the piece here, but I like to look at both sides of the picture. I know Kaws and Shepard paid dues.. no matter how you look at it, no one slides in at the top commanding top dollar for their work. Doesn't that beat staying up all night honing your craft while holding a day job? To me it's kind of ironic that this piece here depicting the death of street art was a legal piece.. how street is that?
just came across this article here
